5.06 Meal Periods

All full-time employees are provided with one meal period of 30 minutes in length each workday. Supervisors will schedule meal periods to accommodate operating requirements. Employees will be relieved of all active responsibilities and restrictions during meal periods and will not be compensated for that time.

If an employee is away from the work place, (i.e. on deliveries) and not able to clock out for meals, then one-half hour will be deducted from the employee's time for the day. If an employee fails to clock out for a meal break, without approval from a supervisor, then one-half hour will be deducted from the employee's time for the day. Any "no-lunch" day must be authorized by the employee's supervisor.
